CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
The Paso Robles Art Association offers classes and workshops in all media. The Association has three focused media groups – Painting, Pastels, and Photography. These groups are open sessions where artists can work on their piece, ask questions, discuss techniques, and receive guidance from a session leader or other artists. The Association also has classes to teach elements of art across the broad spectrum of styles and media. Whether you are an amateur or professional artist, our classes and workshops provide ART FOR EVERYONE.
Painters' Guild
Our painting workshop is an open session for painters using oils, acrylic, and watercolors. Our members paint their interests – anything from traditional landscape scenes to abstract art. Come paint with us. Furnish your own art supplies, bring a lunch, and enjoy a friendly critique at noon. All skill levels are welcome! The Painters' Guild meets in the gallery every Tuesday from 9:30a.m. to 1p.m.
Pastel Guild
Color. Color. Color. But don’t call pastels “chalk.” Stop by and try out dry pastels knowing we have supplies to share while you explore, and answering any questions you might have (Yes, classes are available). Pastel artists are encouraged to bring work in progress and share in our creative experience. All ability levels are welcome. The Pastel Guild meets every second Saturday of the month at noon.
Photography Guild
Our amateur and experienced photographers share a love of photography. Our members promote the art and science of digital photography by educating members and the public about digital photography as an art form. We provide an opportunity to strengthen skills, learn from others, and enjoy the camaraderie of those who share a love of photography. Occasional field trips are scheduled for photo shoots and special lectures are held on topics specific to photography.
